Mussolini In My Head

Someone is making speeches in my head.

I hear them when I drive.

Fist-pounding Nazi Mussolini Jessie Jackson loud,
With startle!!!
I understand, and through sudden teardrops,
I catch what I can
On a crumpled napkin.

Later, if there's time,
I paint it pretty, or
I paint it ugly.

Then, I give it to you

Just so I can prove someday

That someone is making speeches in my head.
